Charting Alix Earle’s Rise to Fame

A rise to fame like no other, and a planetary cycle that seems to predict its every major moment.
Alix Earle is a 23-year-old based in Miami. Before a big night out, she talks to the camera as she does her makeup.
She’s had a small following on TikTok since 2020, but the last two years have shown some of the biggest, quickest growth in stardom we’ve seen in this era of social media.
There are key dates when her following grew substantially, and each key date coincides with a major aspect of her Mars cycle.
That is, the time between one Mars return and the next.
From just another TikTok girl to mainstream fame, Alix’s rise has been quick and consistent.
How the heck did she do this?
This is what I’ll be discussing today.
Alix’s Natal Chart
As any astrologer would, I’ll begin with Alix’s natal Mars placement.
I don’t know her birth time so I’m not using houses.
One of the closest aspects in her chart is her Sagittarius Sun sextile Mars in Libra.
The Sun (Alix’s shine, if you will) is closely tied to her debilitated Mars.
Mars Return: Beginning of an Era
Just before Alix’s Mars return in 2021, or the start of this Mars cycle, Alix posted her first “makeup how to” on TikTok.

She would later come to be known for these videos, but at this point, she hardly posted them.
Between this conjunction and the upcoming opposition, nearly half of this planetary cycle, she steadily grew a following as she posted her looking cute.
Meanwhile, her followers begged for more makeup tutorials.
Mars Opposition: Crises and Confessions
As transiting Mars opposed her natal Mars, she confessed: she was experiencing extreme cystic acne, and wanted to hide her skin as a result.

This was why she wasn’t posting the content her followers wanted.
Opening up about this struggle strengthened her relationship with her followers, as she notes in articles and podcasts down the road.
She reflects on this moment as a turning point in her social media.
At this point, I had no clue who Alix was.
She was a hot girl known for being hot… I’m not the target market.
It wasn’t until late October 2022 that I learned who Alix was.
Closing Mars trine stationed rx: The Payoff Begins
I distinctly remember my TikTok fyp filled with people talking about her — that they aren’t her target market either, but they can’t stop watching.
That day, TikTok’s conversation became: who is this girl and why do we love her?

Astrologically, this was the day Mars stationed retrograde in Gemini, creating an exact trine to her natal Mars.
This was the closing trine in her Mars cycle.
In other words, this was a last dash of luck for this era of newfound social media stardom.
In the following months, Alix took full advantage of this onslaught of attention.
She acquired an incredibly high-profile management team and, most importantly, continued putting out the content her followers asked for.
She did the makeup tutorials, displaying her blemished skin for the world to see.
Her followers ate it up, engaging with everything she’d post as if a spell had been cast.

As Mars stationed direct and eventually made its final closing trine to her Mars, another peak point, it seemed she’d hit the brand deal jackpot; she did major campaigns with Forever 21, Juicy Couture, Amazon.

She would be no one-hit wonder; Alix Earle was here to stay.
Mars Conjunction: A New Era Begins
When this Mars cycle came to a close on her next Mars return, she experienced her greatest career peak yet; she started a podcast, thus launching her own brand and signing on with a major media company.

Determination via Debilitation
A debilitation success story, Alix’s Mars in Libra is the key to her career.
It wasn’t until she leaned into the struggles of acne, very Libra Mars, that she was able to skyrocket.
As someone attuned to both astrology and social media, I find these peaks in our planetary cycles fascinating.
